At 18 years old I took complete charge of planning my brother’s walima reception, a decision I very nearly regretted! The stress and complexity of planning a wedding is definitely underestimated and I must say I could not have got through the day without James’ help (and the fantastic support from Greenleaf & the Northumberland Ave events team!).

James took all the hiccups of the day in his stride, from organising 70 groups photos in 90 minutes (with a poor sound system and very loud group of guests!) to helping ensure that the day’s timings didn’t go completely out of the window!!!

Thank you for being part of our wedding day at 8 Northumberland Avenue on 19th March 2016. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. As quite an organised yet realistic person, I’d have to advise that it is near impossible to pre-empt and plan for every eventuality on your big day. James was there to iron out the inevitable hiccups. Both Atul and I were able to take a back seat and enjoy our day to the max, knowing that James had our best interests at heart. James Hasler was Toastmaster at our Wedding at the Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot on 22nd August 2015, we first met him two months prior to discuss the requirements, both my wife and I felt in safe hands from the word go. James is professional and extremely well prepared with great guidance and support during the lead up to the day.

On the day James was at our venue well before guests arrived from the church to ensure all was ready for our arrival. We arrived at the venue in the wedding car to see James meeting and greeting guests and in turn which made us feel very special. He was absolutely amazing on the day and took all the stress away, we felt in safe hands. All the introductions and sequencing were fabulous and he was our point man for all the guests.

So many of our guests that we spoke to in the evening and after we returned from honeymoon were so complimentary of James, we could not have asked for better.

As a longstanding member of the Revels Committee and vice chair, can I thank you for your absolutely brilliant service as Master of Ceremonies for our Peppard Revels Jubilee Ball in early June.

It was by no means an easy job. You had to control a crowd of nearly 500 revellers in a marquee over a programme lasting 6 hours. You had to communicate information to keep everybody safe and aware. You had to phase the collection of food for 48+ tables from the kitchen to the marquee with professional and volunteer help – and the clearing of those tables. Then there was the dancing, the raffle, the bar and the fireworks all under your domain and you had to remain charming and entertaining throughout!

It was brilliantly done with a firm hand with lots of humour – sometimes not easy given the inadequacies of the PA system.

Many thanks and I hope you consider doing it again.
